exhibition synopsis
Innerconnectivity is an annual immersive exhibition that invites visitors to step into the distinct realities created by local artists.

Featuring three visual interdisciplinary artists and three performance artists, each has the opportunity to create a full installation within the set of a constructed room.

Innerconnectivity empowers artists by elevating their careers and craft while pushing the boundaries of traditional gallery practices. Additionally, it creates more opportunities for Milwaukee artists and fosters extraordinary experiences for local audiences and beyond.

1 month-long exhibition. Opening Spring 2026.

Each visual artist will have an installation in a room of the immersive house.

Each performer will be on rotation and will have the opportunity to install pieces that coincide with their allotted programming.

Timed entry for the immersive house, with allotted times and ticketing that can be scheduled online for exhibition entry and all events.

Public programming and events throughout the duration of the exhibition, including artist talks, workshops, and performances.

an immersive exhibition
The gallery component of the exhibition is set within a custom-built house, crafted by our team of professional builders. Visitors will experience a timed entry walk-through of each room, fully immersing themselves in the work of three contemporary artists. Each visual artist has been given the freedom to completely transform their space, providing a distinct and fully immersive experience into their world and vision.
Using the blueprint of a theatrical set, this "home" symbolizes the self and acts as an inviting gateway for interpersonal exploration. This innovative setup encourages the audience to delve into the artists' consciousness and discover reflections of themselves within the exhibition. The space serves as a nexus of connection, extending a personal invitation to explore the artists' stories.
Adjacent to the gallery, a stage will host interdisciplinary performers and events, allowing a variety of contemporary practices to flourish within the same environment. This provides audiences with further opportunities to connect with the exhibition's themes and activates the space for community engagement, conversation, and introspection.

Work with builders to construct and build main frame of the primary exhibition house and stage to later install at the exhibition location.

Install house and stage in the exhibition space. Work with internal team to prime and paint the set house, grass, and corresponding accents. Finalize house builds to be ready for artist installations.
Artists will begin installing their work alongside our team installing the lighting rigs for the interactive house set. Audio technicians will get all equipment ready for upcoming performances.
Exhibition debuts Spring of 2026 with an opening celebration at the exhibition event. The performance artists will cycle during the month of the exhibition.
